Financial Controller

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or relevant field);
  • 5+ years experience as Finance Controller/Analyst (or relevant background);
  • previous experience in IT&C companies represents a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
  • Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
  • Monitors, calculates, and provides solutions and improvements for the profitability of products/projects/divisions 
  • Spearhead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization.
  • Work closely with the accounting & operations team to ensure accurate financial reporting;
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts;
  • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures;
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization;
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials;
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards;
  • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools;
  • Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps;
  • Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is mentioned in virtually any financial analyst job description; familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful;
  • Oversees day-to-day accounting functions together with accounting colleagues;
  • Participates and defines company’s budgeting;
  • Prepares financial reports;
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing the right policies and procedures;
  • Elaborates and controls the company’s forecasts and expenditures;
  • Be a trusted advisor to the company’s leadership in the sense of investments and expenditures;
  • Reports to GM.
