Substantial experience across database work, including best practices in query design and optimization
Experience of Oracle (version 10, 12 and 19 in use)
Experience of MS SQL (SQL Server 2012, 2017, 2022 in use)
Experience of SSIS (SSIS 18 in use) for data extraction and transformation
Experience working in an Agile SCRUM team
Experience in releases and version control in established environments
Excellent English language skills (both written and spoken)
Agility, collaboration, innovation, integrity and customer focus
Nice to have:
Use of Oracle PRO*C and Oracle STAR for automated data extraction
Experience in D365 structures and storage
Experience in data merging across multiple sources of variable quality
Responsibilities
Data engineering and database design. Understanding the current database structures and data contained, creating suitable queries to extract and consolidate across multiple sources;
Extracting the required data in alignment with an agreed-upon data model;
Collaborating with subject matter and systems experts within client’s team, in order to understand the systems, prepare data extracts, and deliver them on automated schedules;
Responsible for assuring the quality, performance and robustness of the extracts.
