Software Tester
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field;
- 2+ years of knowledge in test management and bug tracking tools and processes;
- knowledge of web-based applications (SharePoint);
- experience with performance testing;
- knowledge of script and tool-based automation testing (JMeter, Selenium web driver, etc.);
- good knowledge of testing methodologies, design, and implementation;
- good SQL knowledge;
- experience with TFS is a nice to have;
- good communication skills, Romanian and English, both written and verbal;
- proactive, hands-on, self-motivated;
- creative, curious, confident;
- flexible, adaptive to changes, positive thinking.
Responsibilities
- review and analyze requirements;
- develop test cases for each type of tests and prioritize testing activities according to the deadlines and projects status;
- execute all the test cases and report defects, define severity and priority for each defect;
- keep track of all defects and fixes;
- synchronize the testing process with the team;
- handle changes in project;
- carry out regression testing every time when changes are made to the code;
- analyze and interpret business/functional specifications, carrying out response activities in terms of test cases identification and test planning;
- define the test strategy and plan to make sure the application is consistent to the specifications;
- design test cases for component tests, integration tests, and system tests;
- design test cases for nonfunctional requirements: compatibility, performance, scalability;
- identify the recurrent tests and design script-based automation tests;
- propose improvements;
- identify bugs for issues found during either testing or production;
- use various tools to gather crash logs, screenshots, and other details;
- provide test reports and metrics;
- give support to help diagnose any problems/defects;
- keep track of the testing outcome (bug fixes);
- execute the test plan in different environments (Development, UAT, Production) (generic test cases);
- report issues in a structured, documented, and detailed way;
- prepare test data for specific situations;
- propose improvements and identify risks at any project phase;
- identify risks and inconsistencies in requirements;
- recommend controls by identifying problems and suggesting improved procedures;
- shares own expertise with others;
- propose improvements or solutions for issues;
- propose improvements for the overall User Experience.
